Café Intención the brand
Café Intención is a brand of J.J. Darboven. It is 100% fair trade & organic coffee. The brand was created in 1993 when fair trade coffee was certified, then called: TransFair. Albert Darboven immediately took advantage of this by adding the TranFair Coffee brand to the range. In 2004 the TransFair coffee brand was renamed Café Intención.
What does the fair trade coffee brand of Café Intención entail?
Fairtrade actually means nothing more than better trading conditions for coffee farmers in developing countries. The farmers receive a minimum price for the coffee with premiums on top. The premiums that the farmers receive through the fair trade organizations are used for education, care, materials for the logistics process and production. These premiums therefore ensure a better harvest, greater effectiveness and ultimately a better cup of coffee!
What is Café Intención organic coffee?
The EKO quality mark on the packaging means that the coffee is grown organically. So only natural pesticides are used, biodiversity is stimulated and soil erosion is prevented. The coffee is certified with the Bio quality mark. This is the green leaf on the package.
